HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LIOME?

  •   The steels used in our blades are specially selected for their superior edge qualities. Most all of these steels require preventive care to inhibit rust, especially in humid or marine environments. An occasional application of a quality metal sealer (ask your dealer) is all that is needed. If rust spotting does occur, a fine grade semi-chrome polish is recommend-ed. Occasionally carry-clip screws may become loose. Application of a releasable thread-lock to the threads prior to tightening (follow manufacturer’s instructions) is recommended.
  •   Always keep the blade locking areas clean. Accumulation of dirt/debris may adversely affect the locking function. To properly clean, use clean, hot, soapy tap water; rinse thoroughly with hot tap water; flush/dry completely with compressed air. For best results we recommendusing BlueLubeM Cleanser for all cleaning, lubricating, and protection of your LIOME. For optimum blade mechanics, periodically apply Lubricant to the pivot screw.
  • SHARPENING: Touch up the edge as needed before it becomes overly dull. Maintain the edge bevel angles for maximum sharpness. Never sharpen your LIOME on a power grinding wheel.
  • A FINE CUTTING TOOL  : Your new LIOME was designed to function as a cutting tool. Never attempt to use your LIOME knife as a screwdriver, pry-bar, chisel or punch. Never throw your LIOME knife. Use for any purpose other than normal cutting activities is considered abuse and is NOT covered under warranty.

Do not disassemble your knife. Disassembly by anyone other than. LIOME Knife Company warranty department will void the warranty.
